In recent times we have seen legislation to curb truancy and other
problems in society where the parents are held accountable for the actions of their children .
I think its about time that we should make parents responsible for the
actions of their bullying offspring .
Everything else has been tried ..how about this one ?
People have kids ; and leave them to their own devices.is it any wonder that
the child goes ape ?
The old saying goes that ''the devil makes work for idol hands''
I believe that is the case kids dont have anything worthwhile to do these days . Society must take the blame for allowing a Generation of kids to waste their lives.

I agree that parents must take more responsibilty for their childrens actions, but society as a whole has a part to play.

There is too much glorification of violence, and of 'heros' who are violent.
Children can be influenced by these stereotypes, and come to believe that those actions are the way to behave.

I know we cannot return to times when violence was kept on the battlefield, but we have to find ways to teach children that violence is not the answer.

I agree with you so much.. But I hold parents directly responsible for the actions of their child/children . Some years ago I had to go and see the parents of a child that had been bullying one of my children .
They completely denied it without even asking the child if it was
responsible .
It came out weeks later that my child wasnt the only one being bullied
and had bullied quite a few children .
If those parents had taken the warning signs seriously it would have
made the lives of countless children happier far sooner .
As the bullying occured at school why didnt the teachers deal with it there and then .??
That is another question I ask myself .

The problem with schools is that a large number pay lip service to anti bullying strategies, claiming there is not a problem in their school.

I doubt if there is a school in the world which does not have some measure of bullying, and we, as responsible parents need to change that. Only when the problem is brought out into the open, can it be tackled.
